Light the World

 Our local mall was the lucky location of one of the Giving Machines. John and I had the chance to volunteer at the machines the first weekend they were open. 

When the college kids came home for Christmas we decided to take the whole family. We've been doing this for a few years but the machines have always been in south Orange County. We are so happy to have one so close.

Newport Temple as a WHOLE Family!

 It feels like we have been waiting for this day F-O-R-E-V-E-R.  Finally all 7 of us got to be in the temple together.  We made sure to schedule Jillian's temple recommend interview early enough for her to get her temple recommend on January 1st. And we scheduled an appointment at the Newport Temple for January 2nd (before the college kids went back to Idaho) It was a Glorious Day!!! It's hard to go to the Newport Beach temple and not make a trip to see the ocean. It brings peace to my soul. Luckily were we a bit early for our temple appointment so we were able to see the ocean and take a quick photo.  It was a very special night being in The House of the Lord with my eternal family.

Happy New Year!!!! 2025

 Wow! How did we get to 2-0-2-5.  We started our New Year's Eve celebration with some of our favorite people. The Burkes, the Gibson's, Grandma Garthe, and the Laurel and West Lakey. We had a great time playing several games.  At Midnight we rang in the New Year with some poppers and noise makers. (We totally forgot about the Sparkling Cider. ooops!)
